Jubilee Library 25.10.08 - 26.10.08

A sweet night, sweet like sugar. Thank you to the huge number of people that were in or passed through the library and gave us their attention. Excellent music from all the acts too. We did this:

Phantom
Chance
Rapport
Over - Portishead Cover
Scythe Down Rain
Gaps
Rainbows Form
Sign

Music is being written and recorded all the time. Expect another album at some point. Also, keep an eye on 2-Shay.

YES! - 23.10.08

So, two fiths of Philanthropy have migrated to the sunny seaside town of Brighton. Brighton is looking to be the base of operations for all things Philanthropy related, so people of Brighton: hello.

To celebrate our arrival Philanthropy play a gig at Brighton's main Public Library, Jubilee Library, as part of the White Night event. We're on stage around midnight.

We're recording a plenty, and writing a plenty. You can hear a couple of our songs on our last.fm page, and hopefully on here once our internet will allow us to upload.

The Cellar Bar - 03.04.08

Thank you to all who joined us for our maiden gig of 2008. The Cellar Bar once again proved a welcome home and a fantastic venue. Much gratitude goes to Al Heslop for cranking out an awesome sound. For those who liked the first band, they were A Stranger In Moscow, and they set the scene for the following marching tunes:

Chance
Veiled
The National Anthem - Radiohead Cover
Phantom
Scythe Down Rain
Gaps
Sign
Nivation

Sounds of approval were witnessed by all attendees.

Escaping The Cellar Bar for a short update, the band are currently putting together further songs and recordings. Our next confirmed gig is opening the Ash Music Festival, though the band are quietly stringing together some performances for the warmer season.

As ever, comments and suggestions can be directed to our email addresses, or alternatively you can rock out in the forums.
